Ratatat at Stubb's last night

Ratatat rocked the house at Stubb's in Austin last night, playing a sold-out show in front of over 2,000 rabid fans. Comprised of Mike Stroud and Evan Mast, the duo performed material from their three studio albums and tossed in at least one brand new song, providing a glimpse of what’s coming on their next album.

This was visible leap in stature for a Ratatat performance, including a huge light show, crazy visuals, smoke machines, and even a confetti bomb or two. As their set was ending the capacity crowd yelled Rat-at-at in unison, demanding an encore. After coming out for one more song and giving a simple "thank you" to the audience, Ratatat stopped by the after party at Beauty Bar to provide a couple of DJ sets.

With a big thank you to C3 for the photo access, here are a few pictures from the show. All photos by Ed Lehmann. Click here to see more.

Great pictures! I'm really sad I missed the show. It looks like they've really stepped it up since I saw them at Emo's a few years ago.
