I've made no secret that The Besnard Lakes are one of my favorite bands of late. Their latest (and arguably best) record will surely end up near the top of my favorite albums of 2010, and I was impressed with their performance at SXSW. The Quebec quartet just released a video for the song “Albatross”, while kicking off the US portion of their tour in support of The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night.
The video for the single "Albatross" is a fantastic visual interpretation of the spies who inhabit the record - exploring the city and using clues they find in code over short wave radio. "Albatross" was directed by Kara Blake for Les Productions La Guerilla.
The Besnard Lakes will make their way back to Austin on Tuesday, May 18th at the Mohawk. Stardeath and White Dwarfs and The Boxing Lesson will open. Tickets are available here.
