Video: Not In The Face!

Austin rock 'n roll duo Not In The Face, consisting of Jonathan Terrell (guitar, vox) and Wes Cargal (drums), just unleashed a new music video for their song "Brass Tacks." The track comes from the band's debut full-length Bikini, and the video was directed by our good friends at Austin Music Weekly, who previously provided some live Not In The Face video from Beerland.

The Strange Boys - Live Music

The Strange Boys will release their third album, Live Music, on October 25th via Rough Trade. The core of the band features brothers Ryan Sambol (vocals, guitar, harmonica, piano) and Philip Sambol (bass), Greg Enlow (guitar) and Mike La Franchi (drums). Jenna Thornhill-DeWitt (Mika Miko) and Tim Presley (White Fence) contributed saxophone and guitar respectively, with both adding vocals on various tracks.

UTOPiAfest

In 2009, Travis Sutherland produced the first ever UTOPiAfest, a unique music and arts festival held on his family’s 1,000-acre ranch in Utopia, Texas. Now in its third year, the 2-day festival is better than ever, establishing itself as a destination event for those who are looking for a true alternative to the large, multiple stage music festivals that often favor quantity over a quality audience experience. The picturesque festival site features a secluded natural amphitheater with breathtaking Hill Country vistas, situated near many local attractions including the Frio River, Medina River, Lost Maples, and Garner State Park.

Scheduled to take place on October 14-15, 2011, the 3rd Annual UTOPiAfest will feature indie-folk superstar Keller Williams, acclaimed Australian live electronic band Art vs. Science, the genre-defying Blitzen Trapper, Latin mixologists Grupo Fantasma, Dawes, Japanese punk rockers Peelander-Z, Avi Buffalo, Cornmeal, The Giving Tree Band, along with Austin favorites the Black and White Years, Suzanna Choffel, Digital Antique, the Wheeler Brothers, and more.

Weekend passes are on sale now. On-site camping is included, and UTOPiAfest is BYOB! Get more information at Utopiafest.com and on their Facebook page.
