Wild Child is an emerging indie-folk band from Austin, led by founding members Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Beggins. After writing their first batch of songs Wild Child then evolved into a six-piece band, adding drummer Carey McGraw, cellist Sadie Wolfe, keyboardist Evan Magers, with multi-instrumentalist Matthew Mares on banjo, bells, and percussion.
Wild Child began recording their debut album, Pillow Talk, in November of 2010 with San Francisco producers Evan Magers and Alex Peterson. Mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Erik Wofford, the album is filled with charming, violin and ukulele-driven folk songs that document the ups and downs of a young, modern romance. There are 15 tracks, oodles of sing-along vocal harmonies, lush strings, all accompanied by an endearing and honest disposition.
You can stream the full album below, and receive four free songs from "Pillow Talk" by signing up for Wild Child's email list at eyeinthesky.org. Wild Child plays a Free Week show tonight at The ND with Chase Weinacht (of MARMALAKES), MaryAnn & The Revival Band, Shakey Graves, and more.
